Clifford James Prior

Cliff Prior CBE has been the CEO of GSG Impact, catalysing impact investment and impact transparency to benefit all people and our planet, working with over 60 countries. He is a board member of London’s City Bridge Foundation, an adviser for the Impact investing Institute, ImpactX, and Vision think tank. Previously Cliff was CEO of Big Society Capital; UnLtd for social entrepreneurs; and Rethink for people affected by mental ill health; and has worked in healthcare, social housing and homelessness. Cliff has also been a government regulator and adviser across several social issue areas, and has co-founded social enterprises.

Christina Leijonhufvud

CEO, BlueMark

Christina Leijonhufvud is a well-respected leader in the impact investing field, with a track record of senior management roles on Wall Street, where she pioneered a first-of-its-kind social finance investment banking business and co-authored seminal research that helped place impact investing on the map for institutional investors. In January 2020, Christina became CEO of Tideline’s new verification business, BlueMark, with responsibility for leading all aspects of the business strategy, new product development, and external relations. Christina supervises the BlueMark team and has directly led over 20 verification assignments across an array of investor types and asset classes. As a co-founder of Tideline, she also oversees the firm’s strategy and operations and has led many of the firm’s consulting engagements with leading foundations, some of the world’s largest financial intermediaries, and select ultra-high-net-worth family offices and non-profits. Prior to Tideline, Christina was Managing Director at J.P. Morgan where she worked for over 15 years, leading a ratings business and several risk management groups, including for the credit portfolio and emerging markets trading businesses. She also created an innovative methodology for measuring and managing country risk and advised numerous sovereign governments on their public credit ratings. In 2007, Christina created and launched J.P. Morgan’s Social Finance business, a novel investment banking unit that published seminal research on impact investing, made proprietary investments in impact funds, and structured and distributed innovative impact products to clients, such as the Global Health Investment Fund, a $100+ million impact investment fund backed by the Gates Foundation. During her time at J.P. Morgan, Christina grew the Social Finance team to eight full-time employees and also managed an internal volunteer corps of more than 2,000 engaged employees. Christina currently sits on the CASE i3 and BRAC USA Advisory Boards and has served on several other non-profit boards. She consulted for Ashoka during 2006-07, which solidified her determination to leverage mainstream finance for positive social impact. She earned a MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, a MA in International Affairs from George Washington University, and a BA in Sociology from University of California, Los Angeles.

Chik Wai Chiew

CEO, Heritas Capital, Singapore

Wai Chiew has over 25 years of experience in global investment management and strategic business development, actively leading various companies on transformational growth strategies, fundraising and M&A. In his previous roles at Temasek and other funds, he has led and managed investments across multiple industries and geographies, deploying capital for institutions as well as multiple family offices. Since joining Heritas Capital, Wai Chiew has expanded its private equity investment portfolio and initiated venture capital, fund-of-funds, and impact-first investments into healthcare, education, environment, and technology sectors globally. In line with Heritas’ “invest with purpose, impact across generations” investment philosophy, he has overseen the integration of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations and impact investment mandates while building up Heritas’ multi-fund impact investment platform. Wai Chiew was awarded the Glaxo-EDB scholarship and holds a BA in Economics from University of Cambridge, UK; MA from Yale University, USA; and completed his EMBA (conducted in Mandarin) from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, China. He has served as Honorary Treasurer with the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SVCA), and currently serves as a member of its ESG & Impact Committee. Wai Chiew also actively serves as a director on multiple boards to advocate sustainable growth and sound governance.

Johan Rozali ,Wathooth

CEO, Bintang Capital Partners, Malaysia

Johan is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Bintang Capital Partners, an award-winning Southeast Asian private equity impact investment firm based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Bintang Capital Partners is a signatory of the United Nations’ Principles of Responsible Investing and the Operating Principles of Impact Management. In May 2023, Bintang became the first private equity firm in Southeast Asia to achieve B Corp certification. Johan is also Deputy Managing Director of AHAM Capital, a leading Malaysian asset management group, and he also Chairs the Boards of TMK Chemical (a leading Southeast Asian chemicals manufacturer and distribution company) as well as Wise Payments Malaysia (the wholly owned Malaysian subsidiary of Wise PLC, the global money remittance fintech group). Johan is also a passionate advocate for impact causes and serves on Boards of Trustees of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Foundation (a scholarship provider under the Ministry of National Unity, Malaysia) and Impact Integrated (a youth catalyst organization under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Malaysia). He is also Honorary Treasurer and Executive Committee member of the Malaysian Leprosy Relief Association which collaborates closely with the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. Johan graduated with a BSc Hons in Economics from the London School of Economics, which he attended as a UK Government Chevening Scholar. He is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.

Fumi Sugeno

Chief of Impact Economy Lab at Japan Social Innovation and Investment Foundation (SIIF), Japan

Chief of Impact Economy Lab, Japan Social Innovation and Investment Foundation (SIIF) Fumi currently develops strategies and oversees activities at SIIF's Impact Economy Lab, which creates empirical knowledge and empowers learning communities through global partnerships in promoting systems change investing and transitioning to the Impact Economy. Fumi is an investment committee member of an impact investment fund (HATARAKU Fund) focused on the future of work, childcare, and elderly care support, which was established with Shinsei Bank Group and Mizuho Bank. Prior to joining SIIF, Fumi was an ESG analyst and a business consultant at the Japan Research Institute supporting Japanese corporations to initiate impact businesses and impact investments. She started her career as an International NGO staff conducting impact evaluations and making policy recommendations for education in rural China. Fumi holds a BA from University of Tokyo and MA in International Affairs from Columbia University.

Kate Shieh

Deputy CEO, Tri-Sector Associates, Singapore

Kate is the Deputy CEO at Tri-Sector Associates, a Singapore-based impact firm focussing on the use of impact-first funding models in building bridges across public, private and non-profit sectors for achieving sustainable development goals in the region. This includes the use of pay-for-success and blended finance solutions in areas such as social mobility, early education, skilling and employment, disability employment, community healthcare and health equity. Prior to her current appointment, she was Associate Director in the Public Sector Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong where she worked with government agencies, funders and non-profit organisations to advise in areas including strategy formation, impact assessment and service improvement. She had also worked in the Singapore Government, being involved in strategic planning for population policies in Singapore.
